The title of the third season of the Hollywood live-action drama series based on Eiichiro Oda's popular manga "ONE PIECE," which is serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been decided as "ONE PIECE: The Battle of Alabasta," and it has been revealed that it will be exclusively streamed worldwide on Netflix in 2027.
Season 2 depicts the grand and arduous adventure of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates as they venture into the Grand Line, and Season 3 promises an even greater crisis. The main setting is Alabasta, the desert kingdom that is the homeland of Princess Vivi, whom they meet during their adventures. Behind the scenes of a rebellion by the people for a certain reason, Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, a pirate officially recognized by the World Government and possessing extraordinary strength, and his criminal organization Baroque Works are pulling the strings in a takeover plan. In order to stop this ruthless plan, the crew will face a new and fierce battle swirling with traps and conspiracies.
The live-action drama is being produced by Tomorrow Studios, a Hollywood studio known for dramas such as "Cowboy Bebop" and "Snowpiercer," with the original author, Eiichiro Oda, serving as executive producer. Season 1 began streaming on Netflix in August 2023, and Season 2 began streaming in March of this year.
