It has been announced that Miyu Irino and Nobuhiko Okamoto, an artifact restorer with the supernatural ability to repair broken artifacts, who will be known as the "King of Fraud" in the future. Okamoto will play Noboru Kureha, a thug hired by the gallery where the protagonist, Ryoga Goriki, used to work part-time.
Irino commented, "I am honored to be able to participate in this project as Kotaro Yanagi. I was surprised every time I read the script by the story development that does not fit within the bounds of common sense. Please be sure to watch the anime to see this unpredictable drama that progresses at a furious pace."
Okamoto said, "Sho is one of the thugs, but he has a character that's somehow endearing. In Tomb Raider King, where there are many cool fight scenes, he occupies a rare and unique position. I will do my best to liven up the story by reacting with full power to events that the other powerful characters don't react to."
The first main visual featuring the protagonist, Ryoga Goriki, and a promotional video featuring characters such as Ryoga Goriki, Eileen Holton, Yasumasa Okawara, Kotaro Yanagi, and Noboru Kureha have been released.
The story is set in a world where mysterious tombs appear all over the globe, and the artifacts contained within them grant supernatural abilities to their owners. The protagonist, Ryoga Goriki, is betrayed by his employer and driven to the brink of death in a tomb, but he uses the power of the artifact to rise to the top of the world and become the true "King of Tomb Raiders"—a dramatic reversal of fortune.
The anime features Yoshimasa Hosoya as the protagonist Ryoga Yoshimasa Hosoya, Saori Hayami as Irene Holton, the daughter of the wealthy Holton family, and Junichi Suwabe as Yasumasa Okawara, the chairman of TKBM, Asia's largest corporation. It will air on Fuji TV and other channels starting in July.
