The eighth episode of the drama series " Sounds of Winter " (NTV, Wednesdays at 10 PM), starring actress Hana Sugisaki , aired on March 11th. In that episode, there was a scene in which novelist Fumina Tsuchida (Sugisaki) and her boyfriend Yukio ( Ryo Narita) have a lighthearted exchange at a hot spring inn, which garnered a lot of attention on social media.

In episode 8, on her birthday, Fumina goes on a hot spring trip with Yukio and comes across a scene in the hot spring town where children are gathered around a large white dog. Yukio rushes over and happily plays with the dog, joining the children. Fumina watches them from afar, ice cream and beer in hand...and that's how the story unfolds.
As Fumina and Yukio were having dinner in their room at the hot spring inn, they were talking about how their mouths must be under a lot of strain since they serve the dual purpose of speaking, eating, and breathing. Yukio suggested that since they have two ears, perhaps one ear could be used as a "mouth for speaking," to which Fumina replied, "Isn't it strange to speak with your ears?" Then, at Fumina's suggestion, Fumina and Yukio went to the corner of the room and, while changing their positions so that they could hear each other with just one ear, they joked around, saying things like, "That yukata suits you, it's cute," and "Really? I'm so happy."
On social media, there was a flood of comments calling Fumina and Yukio's exchange "cute." Comments included: "It's too cute, what is this?", "I can't handle it", "They're like children, what a cute pair", "They're a couple that does cute things", "Their conversation and what they do are cute", "It's wonderful to have a relationship where you can get excited over meaningless conversations", "What on earth did I just watch?", and "They just look like a close couple."
