A figure of Godzilla from the movie "Godzilla Minus One," titled "SHMonsterArts Godzilla (2023) -The Monster of Odo Island-" (Bandai Spirits), will be released. It will cost 12,100 yen.
This figure brings to life Gojira, a monster from the legends of Odo Island. Yuji Sakai, a leading expert in Godzilla sculpting, handled the sculpting, coloring, and production. Based on the CG from the film, it faithfully reproduces the dinosaur-like proportions, including the characteristic forward-leaning posture, large head, and lean body and legs. Attention was also paid to the texture of the skin and the shape of the dorsal fins. The coloring was adjusted to give it a lifelike feel. The texture of the skin and dorsal fins on the entire body is also expressed. It can be posed in various ways, such as shaking its head from side to side or looking upwards as if roaring. The figure stands approximately 12 centimeters tall.
Pre-orders are being accepted at Bandai Namco Group's shopping site, "Premium Bandai." Shipping is scheduled for September.
