The 49th Japan Academy Prize awards ceremony, a celebration of Japanese cinema, was held in Tokyo on March 13th. Yu Aoi, Mitsuki Takahata, Shinobu Terajima, Misato Morita, and Nana Mori, who were selected for the Best Supporting Actress award, walked the red carpet in glamorous outfits.
Takahata, Terashima, and Mori Nana, who co-starred in the film "National Treasure" (directed by Lee Sang-il), all wore kimonos. Morita showed off her beautiful legs in a long black dress with a slit in the front, while Aoi looked chic in a black jacket and long skirt.
The award was established to promote the advancement and development of Japanese film art, technology, and science, and the selection is made by votes from members of the Japan Academy Prize Association. This year's selection covers films released between January 1st and December 31st, 2025. Shinichi Hatori and Yuumi Kawai will serve as hosts.
