The second key visual for the TV anime "Kiriou Fan Club," based on the manga by Pon-chan the Earth Fish, which has also been adapted into a TV drama, has been released. The setting is the riverbank of Komae City, depicted in watercolor style, with Miyoshi Aimi gazing at Kirio Ken walking in front of her, and Someya Nami walking alongside her.
The series is a one-way romantic comedy about high school girls Miyoshi Aimi and Someya Nami, who engage in endless fantasies and love exchanges with their classmate Kirio Ken. It was serialized in "COMIC Ryuel" (Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha) from 2022 to 2024. It gained popularity, ranking in the top 10 for two consecutive years, at 6th place in the women's edition of "This Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2024" and 10th place in the women's edition of "This Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2025", and was also made into a live-action drama.
The anime will be directed by Kusa Tonoyama and produced by Satelight. Nene Hieda will play Aimi Miyoshi, Shion Wakayama will play Nami Someya, and Taketo Kajiwara will play Ken Kirio. It will be broadcast on the MBS/TBS anime block "Super Animeism TURBO" from April 2nd.
