Part 2 of "BEASTARS FINAL SEASON," the final installment of the anime "BEASTARS," based on the manga by Paru Itagaki that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), began streaming exclusively on Netflix on March 7, and the creditless opening and ending videos have been released on YouTube.
The opening video depicts the battle between Legoshi and Melon while the song "LA FERALIA" by Satoru Kanzaki, who has been in charge of the music since the first season of the anime, plays in the background. The ending video was produced by hohobun, a paper cutting animation creator who also worked on the ending video for the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End." The ending theme song, "Tiny Light," is performed by the 13-member group "SEVENTEEN."
It was also announced that Yuya Uchida, Taku Yashiro, and Haruki Iwata will appear as additional cast members. They will play Corn, Bean, and Mugi, respectively, of the 500 Cornered Rats Squad, who cooperate with Legoshi in the latter half of the story.
"BEASTARS" is a manga featuring anthropomorphized animals. It depicts an ensemble cast of animals, including the gray wolf Legoshi, set in a world where carnivores and herbivores coexist and cannibalism is taboo. It also garnered attention when it was selected for the "Manga Taisho 2018" award. It was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" from 2016 to 2020.
The anime is produced by Orange, the studio behind "Land of the Lustrous." Legoshi is voiced by Chikahiro Kobayashi and Sayaka Sembongi is voiced by Haru. Season 1 aired from October to December 2019, and Season 2 aired from January to March 2021. Part 1 of the "FINAL SEASON" began streaming on Netflix in December 2024. Part 2 is currently streaming exclusively on Netflix.
