A fan appreciation event for the Getsuku drama "Delinquent to Doctor " (Fuji TV, Mondays 9pm), starring actor Kanna Hashimoto , was held at Fuji TV headquarters on February 25th, with lead actress Hashimoto appearing on stage. Heo Pung-fan of the boy group "INI," who co-stars with her, also made a surprise appearance, exciting the audience.
The drama is a thrilling medical entertainment in which Hashimoto plays the protagonist, Tagami Kotoha, a hardcore delinquent girl who, after the accidental death of her best friend, studies hard to become a neurosurgeon and brings a breath of fresh air to the medical field. The original work is based on a real doctor, and the script was written by Nemoto Nonji, who also wrote the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi" starring Hashimoto. Xu plays Song Lihan, a trainee doctor from Shanghai who is the mood maker of the hospital.
The event was held in conjunction with an advance screening of episode 8, and Hashimoto, who was introduced by the host, announcer Sano Mizuki, spoke about her character, Tagami Koonami, saying, "The way she faces her patients and thinks about their future lives is really cool," and revealed her thoughts on the role.
Also, in the seventh episode that aired on the 23rd, there were many scenes with Song Lihan, so when asked "What was it like acting with Xu-san?", Hashimoto commented, "Oh, she's so cute! She's so precious! Fengfeng (Xu-san) is the granddaughter of the people. It felt like, 'Finally, she's appeared in this position' (laughs). She's cute no matter what she does! Even just running is so cute, the staff were smitten." From there, she prompted, "Don't you want to ask her how episode 7 was? Since we're here, why not have Fengfeng make an appearance too?" and in response to the audience's call, Xu-san made a surprise appearance.
When Sano asked, "Did Hashimoto invite you?", he revealed the circumstances of his surprise appearance, saying, "I didn't feel comfortable at the fan meeting alone, so I asked, 'Would someone like to come?' and to my surprise, Fenfen showed up."
In the second half of the show, Hashimoto and Xu answered viewers' concerns in a segment called "Konpa & Song's 'We'll Solve Your Problems Right Away!'" When asked how she changes her mood, Hashimoto revealed, "For me, it's food. Because I love eating delicious food." The two also expressed their respect for the concerns of medical workers. There was also a quiz segment related to the series, where Xu posed the question, "What city did Song live in when he was in middle school?" to which a fan immediately answered correctly, "Perth, Australia." When Hashimoto asked, "What is written on the back of the suicide bomber uniform?" the answer was "Life is short, so fall in love, maiden," to which Hashimoto exclaimed in surprise, "Isn't that amazing?"
At the end of the event, Xu addressed the viewers, saying, "If this drama can help even one more person to gain a deeper understanding of the difficulties that exist on the front lines at public hospitals, then I think it will have been worthwhile for us to have made this drama. I hope you will continue to watch until the end." Hashimoto concluded by saying, "I love the character of Koonami, and I am personally encouraged by the way she faces her patients so honestly. I hope you will all continue to support us until the final episode!"
