It was announced on March 1st that "danger zone journalist" Maruyama Gonzales will be making a guest appearance in the seventh episode (broadcast March 8th) of the TBS Sunday Theatre "Reboot" (Sunday 9pm), starring Suzuki Ryohei. Maruyama, who knows the underworld inside and out and is serving as the "underworld supervisor" for the series, will play drug dealer Igari Shusuke.
The drama is an original work that popular screenwriter Tsutomu Kuroiwa spent three years planning. It is a suspense story about a kind-hearted pastry chef, Hayase Riku, who is framed for the murder of his wife, but must abandon his beloved family and past to pose as corrupt Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department detective Gido Ayumu in order to prove his innocence and find the real culprit.
Maruyama plays Igari, a man who makes a killing by selling drugs to runaway boys and girls.
Maruyama reflected on the filming, saying, "What I felt on the set was the passion of the production team. I felt that everyone was very professional. However, when I thought that all of this was being done so that I could "die," I felt a bit conflicted."
It was also announced that singer-songwriter Imase will be appearing in the film. He will play Togashi Masaki, a boy who is being protected by the NPO organization "Shelter." Imase has been on hiatus from his activities as an artist since August 4th of last year, but filming for this film took place before his hiatus.

Falsely accused of murdering his wife, Hayase disguises himself as Gido, a man with connections to the underworld, in order to track down the real culprit. The story is very interesting, and I was drawn into the dizzying developments in each episode. In the work, I played the role of Togashi. Togashi, who has his own sense of justice but cannot stop, is an unstoppable character who I felt was a fascinating character, with kindness and madness coexisting. Although my acting is poor, I would be happy if you could watch it!

I'm not an actor, so I said during our first meeting that I wanted to appear in a role that wouldn't get in the way of the other professionals, but when I read the script for my part, I thought, "This is it!" and honestly thought it was interesting. What I really felt on set was the passion of the production team. I felt that everyone was a professional.
