It has been announced that the special effects drama "Kamen Rider Zeztz" (TV Asahi, Sunday 9:00 AM) will enter its second chapter from next week's 25th episode (broadcast on March 8th). A new visual and theme song have also been announced.
In the 24th episode, which aired on March 1st, Kamen Rider Zeztz/ Baku Yorozu(played by Ryutaro Imai) was defeated by the top-secret defense organization "CODE". Afterwards, he woke up in the hospital bed that appeared in the first episode, and it turned out that everything that had happened up to that point had been a dream, surprising viewers with a twist ending.
In the second chapter, Moko struggles alone in a world where no one knows about Kamen Rider Zeztz in order to avoid the events that will befall him. From this chapter onwards, Teruaki Sugihara, Satoshi Morota, and Jun Watanabe will join the team as directors.
The new visual shows Kamen Rider Zeztz Olderm and Kamen Rider Dawn clashing in the center, with Kamen Rider Nox, who lost his life in Moko's dream, and Lord Three, who defeated Zeztz, shown behind them.
The new theme song is "PLAY BACK" sung by YUTA (Yuta Nakamoto). The music was composed by KENJI03 (writer name Hi-yun) of the rock band "BACK-ON," who also sang the theme song for "Kamen Rider Gotchard Gatchard," and the lyrics were written by Seiko Fujibayashi, who has worked on theme songs for numerous Kamen Rider series.
YUTA commented with joy, "I'm starting my rock-themed career as a solo artist in 2024, but I've also been a member of the group NCT/NCT 127 since 2016. Kamen Rider Zeztz' story of 'obtaining a transformation belt in a dream and becoming a hero who saves the heroine' is actually linked to the concept of NCT. So, I sometimes wondered if it was fate!?" He continued, "I would be happy if my theme song can add color to the world of Kamen Rider Zeztz so that you can enjoy it to the fullest."
Fujibayashi commented, "It's like everyday life, which seemed to be progressing normally, is suddenly changed...intersecting perspectives, a paradigm shift. I wrote the lyrics hoping to express that sense of surprise. KENJI03's cool music and NCT YUTA's cool singing voice will really liven up the second half of Kamen Rider Zeztz! I'd be happy if this song can be a wake-up call for those times when you feel like it's about time to get up."
