The second installment of Matsuoka Masahiro's first solo show in his hometown of Hokkaido, "Matsuoka's Evening Drinks in the North," will be broadcast for four weeks from March 7th on Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting (UHB).
This variety show follows Matsuoka as he wanders around his hometown in search of "good sake" and "good fish" that are unique to Hokkaido. The first episode aired in October 2025 and was well-received, leading to the decision to air a second series.
This time, we will visit Chitose City, the city where the airport is located. Matsuoka says that he has rarely been to any airport other than New Chitose Airport. In temperatures below freezing, we will start from JR Chitose Station and head to the entertainment district lined with bars and snack bars. At a famous robatayaki restaurant that specializes in ingredients from Chitose, we will toast with local regulars.
The broadcasts will start at 4:30 p.m. on March 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.
