The sixth episode of the drama series "Reunion ~Silent Truth~" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Ryoma Takeuchi, aired on February 17th. Towards the end of the episode, Junichi (Takeuchi) makes a confession in front of Ryo Minami (Noriko Eguchi) and Keisuke (Kouji Seto), which caused a stir on social media.

In episode 6, Naoto (Watanabe Daichi) confesses a secret from 23 years ago: "I saw Junichi shoot someone with a gun." Junichi is thrown into a wave of intense shock and conflict.
Meanwhile, Detective Minami Ryo summons Junichi, who discovered the body 23 years ago, along with his classmates Makiko (Inoue Mao), to re-examine the circumstances of the incident. Minami Ryo then states his belief that the police officer who died in the line of duty and the robber Oshima did not shoot each other, but that the police officer fired a warning shot before being shot by the robber and dying on the spot. Pointing to Junichi, Minami Ryo then goes on to say that the person who first discovered the body may have fired a shot at the culprit...
Minami Ryo suggests that Junichi may have shot the robber, Oshima, but Keisuke counters, saying that an elementary school student couldn't possibly handle a gun. However, Junichi is curled up on the spot, sweating profusely, and breathing heavily. The scene shifts to a flashback to 23 years ago, where it is revealed that Junichi fired at the robber as he tried to escape.
Afterwards, Junichi confesses to Minami Ryo, "I shot him." 23 years ago, Junichi had shot the robber using a police officer's pistol that had fallen on the scene, and in the final scene, Junichi declares in front of Minami Ryo, Keisuke, and others, "It was me who killed Oshima."
Junichi's confession caused a stir on social media. Comments included, "This is no good, it's painful," "How can you have lived with such a trauma until today...," "It's been a trauma for so long," "It makes me cry...," "It's too painful," "I have no choice but to burst into tears," and "The tears won't stop." There were also many comments praising Takeuchi's acting, such as, "Takeuchi Ryoma's acting was brilliant," "Takeuchi Ryoma's acting made me cry," "His acting was amazing," and "I never thought I'd cry over a drama."
