The main visual for the NHK morning drama "Kaze, Kaoru," starring Ai Mikami and Juri Uesaka, which will begin airing on March 30th in the first half of 2026, was released on February 17th. The visual features the lively appearances of Rin, played by Mikami, and Naomi, played by Uesaka, dressed in pure white nurse uniforms.
Eriko Ota, who was in charge of the design, commented, "The image of the two girls taking off their kimonos and jumping out lightly in pure white nurse uniforms conveys the story of women at the time shedding the old values and stereotypes they carried with them and forging new paths. I hope that the hopeful and lively figures of Rin and Naomi will encourage viewers to take a 'new path'."
"Kaze, Kaoru" is a buddy drama set in the Meiji era, featuring two trained nurses, Ozeki Chika and Suzuki Masa. The two graduated from the same nursing school, but struggle with how to interact with patients and doctors, and grow through clashes before eventually becoming the "strongest buddy." Migami plays the main character, Ichinose Rin, and Uesaka plays Oya Naomi.
