Singer Isao Sasaki will appear on NHK's music program "Utacon," which will be broadcast from 7:57 pm on February 24th. The program will feature hit maker Yu Aku, and Sasaki will perform the theme song for the popular anime "Space Battleship Yamato."
The program will feature rare footage of Aku's masterpieces, representing the Showa era, and singers who were close friends with Aku will talk about their memories and the appeal of his works. Ishikawa Sayuri will perform "Tsugaru Kaikyo Fuyugeshiki" and Mori Shinichi, who made his debut 60 years ago this year, will passionately sing "Kita no Hotaru."
In addition, Akira from the legendary idol group Finger 5, who created a huge boom in the 1970s, will perform "Private Lessons" and "Gakuen Tengoku" together with the idol group Hinatazaka46.
