The concert "BRILLIANT -Lady Naoko in Concert-" held by singer Naoko Kawai in 1982 will be broadcast on the CS Home Drama Channel from 8:00 PM on February 15th. This will be the first time that the "legendary concert" held by Kawai, who will be celebrating her 45th anniversary since her debut in 2025, during the heyday of idols in the 1980s, will be broadcast on television.
The concert took place on October 17, 1982, at the Yubin Chokin Hall in Shiba, Tokyo. It was divided into two parts: the first part focused on popular music and Japanese hits, while the second part consisted entirely of Kawai's own singles, with the exception of Momoe Yamaguchi's "Akisaura." The highlight was the stunning opening performance, in which she sang "AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH" in a red dress, interspersed with lines that sounded like a "vow as a lady." The performance was a gem of a show, packed with Kawai's charm, including acoustic guitar and vocals, an up-tempo medley, and dancing.
The CS Home Drama Channel will feature Kawai for three months. Starting at 8:15 pm on March 8th, they will broadcast "Love Concert" (October 10th, 1983, Postal Savings Hall, Shiba, Tokyo), and in April they will broadcast "SUMMER SPECIAL in EAST '84" (July 24th, 1984, Yomiuri Land East and other venues).
