Episode 31, "End of Summer," of the TV anime "MF Ghost," based on the successor to Shuichi Shigeno's popular manga "Initial D," will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels starting February 15th.
To cheer Kanata up, Koi invites him to the beach. There, Aiba sees Koi in a swimsuit and realizes she is "Seven." After being punched and then cut off from his ties, Kanata is left feeling confused. At that moment, Emma Green, a fellow RDRS athlete who calls Kanata "darling," appears. Kanata describes Emma, who is competing in MFG in an Aston Martin, as "fast and dangerous." A few days later, Emma shows up to Enoshima on her date with Koi and blames Kanata for abandoning his career in the UK.
"MF Ghost" was serialized in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha) from September 2017 to February 2025. Set in Japan in the year 202X, where self-driving cars have become widespread, the MFG car race on public roads is gaining popularity around the world. Kanata Katagiri, who graduated from a racing school in the UK, enters the race to achieve a certain goal.
Kanata is a student of Takumi Fujiwara, the protagonist of "Initial D," and races in a red 86. The appearance of characters from "Initial D," such as Keisuke Takahashi and Hiroya Okuyama, also attracted attention. The series was also adapted into a TV anime, with the first season airing from October to December 2023 and the second season from October to December 2024. The total number of copies of the comics published is over 7 million. The third season is currently airing.
