It has been revealed that actress Kaho will be starring in the NHK drama "A Novelist's Diary" (General), which will be broadcast from 11:00 pm on March 8th. The story revolves around the "diary" left behind by a hit mystery writer after his death, and how two women engage in secret acts.
This is the first TV drama script by Tetsuya Uehara, who studied under Yuji Sakamoto and won the 50th Creative Radio Drama Award. Mid-career editor Megumi Eto (Kaho) was supposed to be in charge of the hit novelist Tamaki Serizawa (Itsuji Itao), but shortly after, he died in an accident. Learning of the diary's existence from his wife, Mariko (Sylvia Grab), Eto suggests to Mariko that she polish it up and publish it. Mariko then begins to converse with the AI to which her husband had secretly confided his true feelings... This is the story.
It has also been revealed that Satoru Matsuo and Yuta Hayashi will appear in the film. Matsuo will play Daisuke Hayashi, the editor-in-chief who offers Eto (Kaho) a transfer after she has not achieved results, while Hayashi will play Sho Araki, an assistant editor who is a big fan of Tamaki Serizawa (Itao), despite being a modern kid who tends to slack off.
