To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the serialization of the popular manga "Ya Boy Kongming!," which has also been adapted into an anime and a drama, the manga will be featured on the front page in color in the 49th issue of the serialized magazine "Young Magazine" (Kodansha), which will be released on November 3rd.
"Ya Boy Kongming!" is a manga written by Yuto Yotsuba and illustrated by Ryo Ogawa, which began serialization in 2019 on the web manga service Comic DAYS (published by the same publisher). In 2021, it moved to Young Magazine. The story follows Zhuge Kongming, a hero and genius military strategist from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, who is reincarnated in Shibuya. He is touched by the singing of aspiring singer Eiko Tsukimi and offers to become her military strategist himself. The TV anime aired from April to June 2022, the live-action drama from September to November 2023, and the live-action movie was released in April 2025.
The issue's cover features Mizobata Aoi, who is being talked about as a "super rookie."
