Original content from the TV Asahi 65th anniversary program "Celebrating! Teruyoshi Uchimura's 60th Birthday! Uchimura Produced Revival Special!!," which aired on September 28th, has begun streaming exclusively on the video streaming service "TELASA." The TELASA version of the content is titled "The Truth Behind the Uchimura Produced Revival Special: Testimonies from 31 Comedians," and includes unreleased scenes that were not included in the main program, as well as in-depth coverage of what went on behind the scenes of the program's revival.
In addition to unreleased scenes from the "surprise home visit" that targeted Tetsuya Morita of the comedy duo "Saraba Seishun no Hikari," which was cut from the terrestrial broadcast, it also includes the comments of the comedians immediately after recording, and the thoughts of Uchimura himself, making it a must-see documentary for fans of the program.
"Uchi P," which has been revived 19 years after the end of its regular broadcast (2000-2005), is currently available for catch-up streaming for two weeks only on TVer, TV Asahi Video, and ABEMA. On the show, a total of 30 comedians, including those who appeared on the show as regulars and those who were viewers, traveled around various locations following a sugoroku board and engaged in comedy battles.
The revival of old segments such as "Daruma-san ga Koronda in the Open-Air Bath" and the appearance of famous characters such as "Cat Baron" (Ariyoshi Hiroiki) and "Jade Craftsman" (Mimura Masakazu) became a hot topic and trended at number one on X (formerly Twitter).
