The final episode of the TBS Friday drama "Takusari Brothers," starring actor Masaki Okada and also featuring Shota Sometani, aired on June 19th. A character who had left a strong impression on viewers in previous episodes made a voice-only appearance in the final episode, sending chills down the spines of viewers once again.

The real culprit who murdered the parents of Makoto Tagasari (Okada) and Minoru (Someya) was Haruko Ashikaga (Igawa Haruka). 31 years ago, Sakutaro's (Wada Masato) sense of justice led to the cancellation of a smuggling operation involving illegally manufactured guns. As a result, "fisherman Koji," who was involved in the transaction, was murdered. Koji was Haruko's father.
After learning the truth about Koji's death, Haruko took action to take revenge on Sakutaro. In a flashback scene at this time, an audio clip is heard saying, "Haruko, why don't you read this to cheer yourself up?" and a woman's hand is seen handing Haruko several books. One of the books contains a page about the plant-derived poison "digitalis," and afterwards, Haruko decides to poison the Tagusari couple.
The end credits list "Makiko Watanabe (voice)," suggesting that the voice that recommended the book to Haruko belonged to Sayoko Hatano (Makiko Watanabe), a counselor in the city hall's welfare and health department. Sayoko appears in the drama as the person who incited multiple murders, and she chills viewers down with her suggestive, rhythmic tapping of "tap, tap, tap..."
