It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime " Red Cat Ramen, " based on the manga by Angyaman serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+", will begin airing in January 2027. The main cast members will reprise their roles, including Kenjiro Tsuda as Bunzo (the manager of Red Cat Ramen) , Noriaki Noriaki Sugiyama as Sasaki, Michiyo Murase as Sabu, Rie Kugimiya as Hana, Saori Hayami as Krishna, and Kurumi Orihara as Yashiro Tamako. Hisatoshi Shimizu will direct the series, as with the first season, and E&H production will handle the animation.
It was also announced that Tasuku Hatanaka will be voicing Jewel, a new character appearing in the second season. Jewel is a passionate new cat who dreams of "creating a cat host club and aiming to be number one," and will be in charge of serving customers at Red Cat Ramen. Hatanaka commented, "His earnestness really motivated me. I am truly happy to be able to play him!!!!"
A teaser visual has been released featuring Bunzo holding a bowl of ramen and Jewel striking a pose. A teaser PV has also been released, showing Bunzo and the other cats of Red Cat Ramen welcoming customers. At the end of the video, Jewel appears with a cheerful greeting, "It's Jewel! Nice to meet you!"
"Red Cat Ramen" was submitted to the manga submission and publication web service "Jump Rookie!" in November 2021, and was selected as the number one manga in the "Jump+ Serialization Competition Ranking," starting its independent serialization. The first volume was released in October 2022, and from chapter 30, which was released that same month, it became a regular serialization on "Shonen Jump+."
The story is set in Akane, a Red Cat Ramen is tasked with taking care of the felines. The series depicts the "cat personalities" glimpsed through brushing, as well as the human dramas woven by the various customers. The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2024.

When I first saw the voice actor for Jewel-kun at the recording studio, I was so moved, thinking, "I can't believe there's someone who fits Jewel-kun so perfectly!" They also fit the image perfectly, and I was truly moved by the enthusiasm of Mr. Angyaman and the Akaneko anime production team. Season 2 of "Red Cat Ramen" is starting! I'm so happy that the peaceful and gentle world of Akaneko will continue to expand and that we can bring you a new story.
