Following the announcement that the life-sized Unicorn Gundam statue, which has been on display in Odaiba, Tokyo since September 2017, will cease exhibition at the end of August, it has been revealed that a specially decorated "RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Ver. TWC FINAL" will be unveiled from June 20th. The special decoration was designed by mechanical designer Hajime Katoki and will be on display until August 31st. The Gundam Cafe kitchen car will also be running a campaign to distribute Unicorn Gundam headbands.
This life-size statue of the Unicorn Gundam from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn)" stands approximately 19.7 meters tall and weighs about 49 tons. Its ability to switch between Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode also garnered attention. The statue will close its doors at the end of August, bringing its approximately nine-year history to a close.
The location had a life-sized Gundam, "RG1/1 RX78-2 Gundam Ver.GFT," on display since 2012, attracting many visitors, but the exhibit ended in March 2017.
