The 23rd installment of the popular anime series "Pretty Cure," "Detective Pretty Cure!", will enter the Cure Eclair arc starting with episode 21, airing on June 21st. Cure Eclair's true identity, which has been shrouded in mystery despite being depicted in the key visual, will be revealed in episode 25, airing on July 19th.
The candidates for Cure Eclair are four actresses who have been active in the series so far: Eliza Kurusu, Shiruku Ieiri, Kurea Hoba, and Rei Kaneda. Episodes 21 through 24 will feature episodes focusing on each of the four actresses.
Kurea Hoba is a pastry chef at Patisserie Tutu, and her voice actress is Ikumi Hasegawa. Eliza Kurusu, played by Riko Akechi, is a high school student and a budding mystery novelist. Rei Kaneda, the student council president of Makoto Mirai Private Academy, is played by Lynn. Shiruku Ieiri, played by Natsumi Murakami, is a rising star and popular actor of the Heisei era.
It was also announced that a campaign will be held to guess who will become Cure Eclair. Voting will be accepted on a special website from 8:00 AM on June 21st to 8:00 AM on July 19th, and ballot boxes will be set up at eight locations nationwide, including the Pretty Cure Store Tokyo (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). Those who participate in the voting will receive a certificate of voting.
The motif of "Detective Precure!" is "detective," and the theme is "seeing, feeling, and thinking for yourself to find the 'real' answer." The main characters are girls who work as detectives with the desire to "help people in need," and guided by a mysterious power, the main character time-slips from the present day of 2027 to 1999. A story of new encounters, friendships, and growth for the Precure transcends time.
Hikari Chiga will appear as Cure Answer/Anna Akechi, Kaede Hondo as Cure Mystic/Mikuru Kobayashi, and Nao Toyama as Cure Arcana Shadow/Ruruka Mori. It airs every Sunday at 8:30 AM on ABC TV and TV Asahi.
