The eighth episode of the drama series "Unsolved Cases: Metropolitan Police Department Document Investigator Season 3" (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 9 PM), starring actresses Kyoka Suzuki and Yuina Kuroshima, aired on June 4th, and it has been revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) was 7.8% for households and 4.2% for individuals.
"Unsolved Cases: Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Document Investigator" is a mystery series in which detectives investigate unsolved cases using written documents as clues. It started in April 2018, and this is the third season, approximately six years later. Amid a crisis threatening the survival of the 6th Section (Document Deciphering Section) of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigation Division's "Special Investigation Task Force," the brilliant detective Narumi Risa (Suzuki) and her younger superior, the new section chief Mutsu Hinako (Kuroshima), team up as partners to tackle difficult cases.
The subtitle of episode 8 was "The Final Chapter," and it featured guest appearances by Yasushi Fuchigami, Hirona Yamazaki, Toru Baba, and Shunsuke Ito from "Oswald."
The 6th Division receives a letter from someone claiming to be an "innocent citizen," requesting them to investigate an unsolved case. Risa and the others begin their investigation to apprehend a man wanted for murder, but... ...that was the gist of the letter.
