Singer Iyo Matsumoto will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which airs on June 4th at 1 PM.
She turned 60 last year. Initially, she was resistant to the term "60th birthday" and preferred to call it "Sweet 60," but she gradually got used to the term after receiving congratulations from those around her. Kuroyanagi is surprised that the "Flower of '82 Group" (Akina Nakamori, Kyoko Koizumi, Yu Hayami, Chiemi Hori, etc.), who graced the golden age of idols, are all turning 60 one after another. Matsumoto reveals her lively daily life, including family trips to Hawaii and her habit of walking while chatting with her husband, Hiromi.
She apparently attends fan meetings of Korean actors alone to engage in "fan activities." At first, she felt uneasy, but she made friends with the person sitting next to her at the venue and now exchanges information with other fans. She says that this experience has given her new insights into her own idol activities. She keeps "fan activity goods" hidden in her closet, but she and Hiromi don't interfere with each other's hobbies.
