The ninth episode of the drama series "Is It Wrong for a Woman Not to Give Birth? DINKs' Ten Months and Ten Days" (TV Tokyo, Mondays at 11:06 PM), starring actress Emma Miyazawa, aired on May 25th. Aiko's (Naomi Atsuki Mashiko) drew widespread criticism from viewers.

To escape Aiko's overbearing behavior, Naoki started a job delivering newspapers. Just as he was getting the hang of the job, a complaint came in from his assigned area that the evening paper hadn't been delivered. Naoki, who was certain he had delivered it, couldn't understand why.
One day, Naoki discovered a large stack of evening newspapers that he had delivered. It was clear that Aiko had collected them and taken them home.
When Aiko returned home, she was once again carrying a large stack of evening newspapers. Enraged, Naoki impulsively stabbed Aiko. The broadcast ended as he called Asa (Miyazawa) and told her what had happened.
Aiko's actions, which hinder Naoki's independence, have sparked numerous comments on social media, such as: "As expected, she's a toxic parent for taking the newspaper. She shouldn't get in the way when Naoki is trying so hard," "Taking the newspaper is basically theft, isn't it? She's even more of a toxic parent than I imagined," "It's heartbreaking. Naoki is working so hard and diligently, I can't forgive his mother," "What a turn of events. His mother is just awful," and "What's going to happen to Naoki now? This development is too painful."
