It has been announced that Mariko Higashiuchi and Sayumi Watanabe will be joining the cast of the second season of the TV anime "Magilumiere Co. Ltd.," which is based on the manga serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+." Higashiuchi will be taking over the role of Yumiri Hanamori from Yumiri Hanamori, who stepped down from the role. Watanabe will play Iroha Akasaka, the deputy director of the Magic Technology Research Institute. It was also announced that Marine Houshou, a member of the popular VTuber group "Hololive," will be performing the ending theme, "BooooM!!!." The second season will air nationwide on Nippon Television Network starting July 4th.
Higashiuchi, who plays Hitomi Koshigaya, the magical girl of Magilumiere Co. Ltd., commented on her impression of the character: "She is incredibly cool and has a big heart. I wonder how much struggle and setbacks she has faced behind the words 'easy win.' But she doesn't let it show at all, and the way she smiles so gently makes me feel her strength and unwavering conviction, and I have a strong admiration for her. I want to sincerely face the role and convey all the charm that Hitomi Koshigaya possesses through my acting."
Watanabe, who plays Akasaka Iroha, said, "Akasaka Iroha [Deputy Director of the Magic Technology Research Institute and a Magical Girl]... Just seeing this setting made me think, 'Hmm, she seems smart' (laughs). There are a lot of difficult lines and explanations. But thanks to that, I feel like I'm able to understand the story and situation more deeply, and it's been a great help. I will do my best as one of her characters so that Iroha, who gets involved with Magiluminé Inc., will be seen as charming and wonderful in the anime. Fairouz Ai, who plays the main character Kana Sakuragi, also provided a comment, saying, "I am so happy to be able to meet Kana again and to be able to voice her! She expressed her enthusiasm for the second season.

The first promotional video, depicting the various problems that Magirumie Inc. will now face, has been released on YouTube. Parts of the new character's transformation scene were also revealed, and a new type of supernatural creature made its appearance.
"Magilumiere Co. Ltd." is an action manga about work and magical girls, written by Yukika Iwata and illustrated by Yu Aoki. Set in a world where natural disasters called "anomalies" exist and magical girls who fight them are recognized as a dream job, the story follows the protagonist, Kana Sakuragi, as she joins the venture company Magical Magilumiere Co. Ltd. as a new graduate and struggles to balance her roles as a working adult and a magical girl.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October to December 2024.
