Actress Ai Tominaga (43) updated her Instagram account (@ai_tominaga_official) on May 7th, announcing the birth of her second child.
Tominaga wrote, "I am pleased to report to everyone that I have given birth safely. As this is a late-age pregnancy, I was constantly anxious throughout my pregnancy, but thanks to the warm support of those around me, I was able to complete it safely."
She continued, "It's been a long time since I've had a newborn, since the birth of Akitsugu 20 years ago," and added, "I'll be taking a break from work for a while, but I hope you'll continue to watch over us."
Tominaga married in 2004 and gave birth to her son, Akimitsu, who is currently active as a model and actor, in 2005. She divorced in 2009 and raised Akimitsu as a single mother. On December 20, 2025, she announced, "I would like to inform you that I have been blessed with a new life with actor Kazunori Yamamoto."
