The third episode of the TBS Friday drama "Takusari Brothers," starring actor Masaki Okada and also featuring Shota Sometani, aired on May 1st. Ruka Ishikawa, who appears in the Netflix series "Kujo's Great Sin," made an appearance, drawing a reaction from viewers.
◇The following contains spoilers.
Ishikawa was born on March 22, 1997, and hails from Saitama Prefecture. In "The Great Sin of Article 9," she gives a great performance as Shizuku Kasagi, also known as "Shizuku Hana Pien," a girl who wanders the streets of Kabukicho. In "Takusari Brothers," she plays Saki Yokokura, a friend of Aiko Mizusawa (played by Hina Takegami), who dies in an arson murder case.
It was revealed that Saki was the person Aiko had contacted shortly before her death, so Makoto (Okada) and Miyato (Ayami Nakajo) went to Saki's house. When asked about her relationship with Aiko, Saki replied, "We're friends." Upon learning of Aiko's death, Saki exclaimed in surprise, "What?", and claimed that she had been working overtime until around 10:30 the previous night.
Social media was buzzing with comments like, "Shizuku from Kujo appeared in Tagasari! So happy!", "Shizuku is in Tagasari Brothers!", and "If you look closely, the girl who appeared in Tagasari Brothers is the same Shizuku from Kujo's Great Sin. I didn't recognize her at first because her appearance and voice are different."
The drama follows Detective Makoto and Medical Examiner Minoru (played by Shota Sometani) as they investigate heinous crimes that occur daily and pursue the true culprit in the murder of two parents, a case that reached its statute of limitations just two days before the abolition of the statute of limitations. This is the latest work from producer Junko Arai, who has worked on hit crime suspense works such as the film "Last Mile" and the dramas "Unnatural," "MIU404," and "Saiai."
