Actress Mayu Hotta will appear in the drama "Izumi Kyoka Won't Stay Silent," which will air on NHK General on May 4th at 9:30 p.m. This drama is a new installment in NHK's popular drama series "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe." It tells the story of Izumi Kyoka, the loyal partner and editor of popular manga artist Rohan Kishibe, who takes on the lead role for the first time. Hotta will play Nishion Mika.
The drama "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe" is a live-action adaptation of the popular manga series "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" by Hirohiko Araki, featuring Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe Kishibe as the main character. It's a suspenseful horror story about Rohan Kishibe, a manga artist with the ability to turn people into books and "read" them, as he and his female editor, Kyoka Izumi, confront bizarre incidents and inexplicable phenomena. It aired from 2020 and was also made into a movie.
In "Izumi Kyoka Won't Be Silent," Marie Iitoyo continues to play Izumi Kyoka, and Issei Takahashi also appears as Kishibe Rohan. Mika Nishion, played by Hotta, is a new manga artist that Kyoka found on social media. Her manga, with its incredibly realistic dialogue, quickly became a sensation, selling over 1 million copies by volume 2. However, she's not good at talking to people, and even her editor, Kyoka, hasn't met her yet.
Kanichiro will also appear as Mika's twin brother, Soushi Nishion. Since his sister is not good at speaking, Soushi handles all external communication, such as meetings with editors. His overprotectiveness is excessive, and he even tries to keep Kyoka away from Mika.
Also, Jun Hashimoto will play Kyoka's new boyfriend, Kansuke. Kansuke is a reporter who works for a newspaper company. He cares deeply for Kyoka, but recently his interference has become a little excessive...that's the kind of role he plays. Character visuals for Mika, Soushi, and Kansuke have also been released.
