Actress Momoko Fukuchi's NHK nighttime drama "Radio Star" (NHK General, Monday-Thursday 10:45 PM) will enter its sixth week starting May 4th.
"Radio Star" is a nonstop entertainment drama set in Noto, depicting how ordinary citizens become stars. The cast includes Masahiro Kohmoto, Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Shoma Kai, Kaito Oyagi, Shunsuke Kazama Kazama, Tsutomu Tamura, Takako Tokiwa Tokiwa, and Manami Ono from the idol group "Hinatazaka46". The theme song is "Fune Ippai no Sachi wo" (A Boat Full of Happiness), written and composed by Yumi Matsutoya and sung by MISIA.
In the sixth week, Kanade (Fukuchi), who has returned to Osaka from Noto, receives an invitation for a final interview for a new job, but is inwardly conflicted. Then she receives a call from Ono Sakura (Tokiwa) inviting her to come and see a new guesthouse that has been built. Kanade goes to Noto again, and as she talks with Sakura, Masahiro (Kazama), and Mana (Ono), her longing for Noto grows stronger.
And so, Kanade, who is making a comeback as a radio star, begins to take action to gather the voices of people living in her hometown. Scene cuts have also been released.
