Shanghai in the early 20th century. Chen rushes back home after receiving news that his master has died suddenly. He becomes enraged when Japanese martial artists show up to disrupt his master's funeral, and he storms into their dojo and beats them up. However, the Japanese, backed by the police, plot to take over the dojo that his master left behind, the Jingwu Men, as revenge. Meanwhile, Chen obtains evidence that the Japanese poisoned his master, and he challenges the Japanese to a fight once again to avenge his master's death...and that's the story.
