An event commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman series, "Ultraman Day in Suginami Public Hall," will be held on July 10th, "Ultraman Day," at the Suginami Public Hall (1 Kamiogi, Suginami-ku, Tokyo), a place deeply connected to the Ultraman series. The event will include the "Ultraman Tiga 30th Premium Stage," featuring appearances by original cast members, including Hiroshi Nagano, who starred in "Ultraman Tiga," which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
One week before the first episode of "Ultraman," "Operation Ultra No. 1," aired on July 17, 1966, a commemorative event called "Ultraman Eve Festival: The Birth of Ultraman," held at the Suginami Public Hall on July 10, was broadcast. Eiji Tsuburaya, the "father of special effects," also made a guest appearance at this event. This event, which introduced Ultraman, monsters, and the Science Patrol to children for the first time, has been recognized as "Ultraman Day" by the Japan Anniversary Association.
The venue will feature stage events commemorating the 60th anniversary, an exhibition tracing the evolution of the Ultraman series, and sales of Ultraman hero merchandise. In addition, the "Ultraman Tiga 30th Premium Stage" is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
The "Ultraman Tiga 30th Premium Stage" will feature a reunion of Nagano, who played Madoka Daigo, as well as Yoshimoto Takami, who played Yanase Rena, Takagi Mio, who played Iruma Megumi, and Otaki Akihiko, who played Munakata Seiichi. In addition to a talk show, there are also plans for a video screening.
