The Tokyo performance of rock band HOUND DOG's "HOUND DOG LIVE 2026 ROLLING 70 “ROCK'N'ROLL GOES ON”" tour, held on March 8th at the Nippon Seinenkan Hall (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), will be exclusively broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from 7:30 PM on May 3rd. In addition, WOWOW has announced that it will broadcast and stream footage of their 40th anniversary performance in June as part of a two-month special feature.
The live tour was held to commemorate vocalist Kohei Otomo's 70th birthday on January 1, 2026. Five performances were held from March to April in three locations: Tokyo, Osaka, and Miyagi, Otomo's hometown. The tour title, "ROLLING 70," reflects Otomo's own 70th birthday, while "ROCK'N'ROLL GOES ON" expresses the determination that "this is not the end, but that we will continue to roll on."
Furthermore, the 40th anniversary concert of their major debut, titled "HOUND DOG 40th+1 Anniversary LIVE First Finale LIVE&DOCUMENT," will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from noon on June 28th. The concert was recorded at Toyosu PIT (Koto Ward, Tokyo) in March 2021. The video will also include an interview with Otomo and a tour documentary.
Their major debut with the single "Arashi no Kin'yōbi" (Friday of the Storm) was on March 21, 1980. Their 40th-anniversary memorial concert, originally scheduled for March 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour title, "40th+1," reflects the history of how the concert was finally realized in 2021 after multiple reschedulings.
