The second episode of the TV Asahi drama series "The Cheated Husband with 3 Months to Live" (Fridays at 11:15 PM, excluding some regions), starring actor Jin Shirasu, will air on May 1st.
Diagnosed with only three months to live, elite architect Aoi Kosaka (played by Shirasu) must balance her battle with her work, but is hospitalized due to the painful side effects of chemotherapy. Her sister, Kaede (played by Hinami Mori), rushes to the hospital and keeps calling Aoi's wife, Mizuki (played by Sakurai Hinako), but grows increasingly frustrated when she cannot reach her.
Meanwhile, Mizuki was becoming increasingly engrossed in her secret meetings with Kenji Sunayama (Mitsunori Takahashi), the president of the company that consults for the cafe where she works. Furthermore, she and Kenji were overjoyed at the prospect of receiving Aoi's insurance money...
Meanwhile, Aoi's junior colleague, Iwasaki Kazuki (Kohei Shoji), who accidentally witnesses Mizuki and Kenji's secret meeting at a bar, shows the video he filmed to Aoi's colleague, Fujino Mari (Yua Shinkawa Yua), in the HR department. Outraged by Mizuki's affair and neglect of her son, Ren (Ono Koshiro), the two go to pick up Ren in Aoi's place, as she is not feeling well, and then have dinner together at Mari's family's soba restaurant. Kaede also rushes over after being contacted, but the conversation revolves around Aoi and Mizuki.
Seeing Iwasaki and Mari's genuine concern for Aoi, Kaede inadvertently confesses her suspicion that Mizuki might be working a night job. Hearing this, Iwasaki also confides in Kaede about his suspicions of Mizuki's infidelity... They are stunned by the shocking reality that Mizuki may have a hidden side beyond their imagination. After much deliberation about whether or not to tell Aoi, the three decide to unite and first gather conclusive evidence. Sharing information, they begin to track Mizuki's movements...
