A portion of the main footage from "The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc," the theatrical anime film based on the popular light novel series "The Irregular at Magic High School " from Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA), has been released on YouTube.
The video shows Miyuki Shiba sighing with a melancholic expression, holding an invitation to the Yotsuba family's Keishunkai in a crimson envelope. She accepts that she will likely be designated as the next head of the family, but is anxious about her fate: she will not be allowed to remain single once she becomes head of the family, and will have to marry a chosen partner and produce an heir. At that moment, she is called out to by "another version of herself" reflected in the mirror...
The cover illustration for the first week's novel, "The Irregular at Magic High School: UFO Interception," written by the original author Tsutomu Satou and distributed as a visitor bonus over the first four weeks, has also been revealed.
"The Irregular at Magic High School" is set at the First High School Affiliated with the National Magic University (Magic High School), which trains magic users, and depicts the adventures of siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba. The series has sold over 25 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired in 2014, and the theatrical anime film "The Irregular at Magic High School: The Girl Who Summons the Stars" was released in 2017. The second season of the TV anime, "The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc," aired in 2020, and "The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc" aired on January 1, 2022. The third season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2024. The theatrical anime film "The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc" will be released on May 8.
