Actress Momoko Fukuchi's NHK nighttime drama "Radio Star" (NHK General, Monday-Thursday 10:45 PM) will enter its fifth week starting April 27th.
"Radio Star" is a nonstop entertainment drama set in Noto, depicting how ordinary citizens become stars. The cast includes Masahiro Kohmoto, Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Shoma Kai, Kaito Oyagi, Shunsuke Kazama Kazama, Tsutomu Tamura, Takako Tokiwa Tokiwa, and Manami Ono from the idol group "Hinatazaka46". The theme song is "Fune Ippai no Sachi wo" (A Boat Full of Happiness), written and composed by Yumi Matsutoya and sung by MISIA.
In the fifth week, a listener introduces Kinugasa-don, a dish from the diner that Sumino (Keiko Miyata) ran before the earthquake, as a "taste of memories."
Wanting to revive that taste, Kanade (Fukuchi) suggests opening "Sumino Diner" for one day only. However, Sumino, who was so enthusiastic, collapses from overwork. He survives, but Sumino's daughter blames her, saying, "It's all your fault for instigating it." Kanade gradually begins to feel that she is not to blame... Scene cuts have also been released.
