On the 22nd, it was announced that Yumiko Udo will appear in the TBS Tuesday drama "Toki Sude ni Osushi!?" (Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring Hiromi Nagasaku, which will begin airing on April 7th. This will be Udo's first appearance in a television drama series, and she will play Izumi Isoda, a high school classmate and best friend of Minato Machiyama (Nagasaku). The drama tells the story of Minato, who, after raising her children, starts a second life at the age of 50 and jumps into a "sushi academy" where she can become a sushi chef in three months. Izumi, played by Udo, is the one who invited Minato to the sushi academy to "become a sushi chef!" Unlike the steady Minato, she is a free-spirited woman who comes up with outlandish ideas and rushes headlong into them. She currently works as a Pilates instructor.
On the 22nd, the 11th episode of the NHK Taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）" (NHK General, Sundays at 8pm, etc.), starring Taiga Nakano, titled "The Honkoku-ji Incident," aired, and the preview for the next episode after the main story revealed that Riho Yoshioka will appear. This will be Yoshioka's first appearance in a Taiga drama. Yoshioka will play Chika, who spends her life with Koichiro (Nakano) as his wife. On the 22nd, the ninth episode of the TBS Sunday drama "Reboot," starring Ryohei Suzuki, aired, and a scene in which Hayase (Suzuki) pulls his son Takumi's (Ko Yazaki) ear to reassure him brought viewers to tears. This gesture is Hayase's way of showing his love for Takumi and appeared many times throughout the drama. With his mouth half-open, Takumi instinctively realized that the man in front of him with the face of Gido was actually his father, Riku Hayase. On social media, viewers were excited, saying things like, "I burst into tears the moment Hayase touched Takumi's ear," and "Even though his appearance has changed in the reboot, he's still the same loving and kind father inside. On the 23rd, it was revealed that Ryunosuke Kamiki will appear in the Fuji TV Getsuku drama "Saba-can, Going to Space" (Mondays at 9pm), starring Takumi Kitamura , which will start on April 13th. He works as an engineer in the ISS resupply vehicle development department while aiming to become an astronaut. He applies for the irregularly held astronaut candidate selection but is unsuccessful and is ordered to transfer to the space food development department, which he did not want. He is a stoic and strict person, both with himself and others, and because of his perfectionism, he is often seen as a difficult person by those around him.
On the 23rd, Hokuto Matsumura of "SixTONES" appeared at a pre-release event in Tokyo for the Netflix series "Kujo's Great Sin," which will begin streaming on April 2nd. Yuya Yagira plays Kenji Kujo, a lawyer who takes on only troublesome and morally ambiguous cases, while Matsumura plays Shinji Karasuma, an elite lawyer who graduated from the University of Tokyo and starts working at Kujo's law firm. At the event, Matsumura revealed, "(Yagira) made time to share things with me as a buddy. We always had time in the morning to do sumo stomps together." Since Yagira had studied martial arts and Matsumura had studied karate, "we both knew the importance of sumo stomps," and Yagira introduced Matsumura as the "sumo stomping master."
