On March 20th, Shunsuke Michieda of the popular group " Naniwa Danshi " appeared on stage at the opening day greeting for his starring film "The Song You Left Behind" (directed by Takahiro Miki) held in Tokyo, alongside the heroine, Meru Nukumi as "Meruru," and director Miki. At one point, Nukumi seemed to have completely forgotten about Michieda's presence.
The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Misaki Ichijo (KADOKAWA). It is a love story depicting the 10-year romance between Haruto Mizushima (Michieda), the protagonist who secretly enjoys writing poetry, and Ayane Tosaka (Ikumi), who has developmental dyslexia, a condition that makes it difficult for her to read and write, but possesses talent for singing and composing.
Inspired by Haruto and Ayane's bond in the film, where they deepen their relationship by sharing secrets, a talk segment was held where the audience could "share secrets." Michieda revealed about Ikumi, "We filmed a lot in rural areas, and she was constantly searching for delicious restaurants near the filming locations." Ikumi said that they also filmed in her hometown of Aichi Prefecture, and recalled, "Since it was near my hometown, I was looking up local food because I wanted to eat it."
Director Miki reported that the film crew had gone out to eat, saying, "Ikumi invited us." When Michieda nodded in agreement, Ikumi acted as if she had forgotten about Michieda's presence, saying, "Huh? Was he there...?" which drew laughter from the audience.
When Michieda insisted, "Yes, he was there!", Ikumi gave a wry smile and said, "For a moment I wondered what it was like... I'm sorry."
