The eighth episode of the popular TBS Sunday drama "Reboot," starring Ryohei Suzuki, aired on March 15th (Sundays at 9 PM). Ichika's (Erika Toda) true identity was revealed, and a past statement by Ichika has been attracting attention on social media for being "too cute."
◇The following contains spoilers.
In episode 8, it was revealed that Natsumi (Sayaka Yamaguchi) had been rebooted as Ichika. Looking back at the drama, we see that in episode 3, there was a heartwarming exchange between Ichika and Hayase (Suzuki), who was impersonating Gido.
In episode 3, Hayase and Gido's wife, Mayu (Meisa Kuroki), faced each other in a family restaurant. Hayase emphasized, "Don't come to my house anymore. Don't show your face in front of me either," but Mayu refused to back down, saying, "I'm never going to divorce you."
After Mayu left, Ichika, who had been listening to their conversation from a nearby seat, came over to Hayase's seat. Hayase was holding his head in his hands, unable to leave Mayu alone, when Ichika said, "I like girls like that. She's beautiful, after all. I feel sorry for Natsumi."
Then Hayase declared, "I'm devoted to Natsumi. There's no way I'd ever be with any other woman." Ichika gently placed the cup she was holding on the table and murmured, "But she's not here anymore..."
On social media, it became a hot topic, with comments such as, "It looks exactly like jealousy, and it's just too cute," and "Looking at it later, it's definitely Natsumi's jealousy."
