It has been announced that the TV anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," based on Nagaru Tanigawa's popular light novel series "Haruhi Suzumiya," published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko (KADOKAWA), will be rebroadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11. The rebroadcast is part of the "Haruhi Suzumiya Gratitude" project, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the TV anime. The episodes will be broadcast in the same order as when they were first broadcast in 2006.
It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX every Monday at 10:30 pm starting from March 30th, and on BS11 the first episode will be broadcast at 1:00 am on April 1st, and from the second episode onwards it will be broadcast every Monday at 11:30 pm starting from April 6th.
"The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" is a science fiction comedy about a high school girl named Haruhi Suzumiya who loves aliens, people from the future, psychics, and paranormal phenomena, and her friends, an ordinary high school boy named Kyon, who find themselves caught up in a series of strange events... The TV anime was broadcast in 2006 and 2009. The theatrical anime "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" was released in 2010.
