Actor Sasaki Kuranosuke stars in the NHK BS period drama "Fuurai Gumo" (NHK BS/BS Premium 4K, Sundays at 6:45 PM). The subtitle of the final episode (episode 8), which will be broadcast on March 15th, is "Light and Dark with Kondo Isami," and the synopsis and scene cuts have also been released.

"Fuurai Cloud" is a period drama based on the manga of the same name by George Akiyama. The setting is Shinagawa-shuku at the end of the Edo period. "Fuurai Cloud" is an eccentric man who wears a woman's kimono and has his hair tied in front of his forehead. With a fluffy and elusive appearance, he lives his days freely, but before you know it, he gently changes the destinies of others. It is a hymn to humanity filled with laughter and tears.
In the eighth episode, Sakamoto Ryoma is apparently assassinated in Kyoto. Kondo Isami (played by Wada Masato) of the Shinsengumi also arrives in Shinagawa to wipe out the anti-shogunate faction.
When Kondo requests a meeting with Furakumo (played by Sasaki), he sends Shinnosuke (played by Kawahara Eito) in his place. Kondo calms the indignant members of the corps and greets Shinnosuke with a smile, but begins to keep an eye on Furakumo.
Meanwhile, Professor Aota (Watanabe Gota), who has been entrusted with a pamphlet written by Ryoma by an old friend who was a supporter of the anti-shogunate movement, turns to Furakumo for help and shows him the pamphlet...and so the story unfolds.
