It has been revealed that actress Mai Fukagawa will be starring in the drama series "The Secrets of Weekend Travel 3: Do You Have to Get Married?" (Friday midnight 12:52), which will start on April 3rd. In the third installment of the popular travel drama, she will play a couple who hit a wall alongside Kis-My-Ft2's Kento Senga.
Season 1 of "The Secret of Weekend Travel," starring Arisa Mizuki, aired in July 2023, and attracted attention for its story of reexamining the relationship between a couple through a weekend trip, combined with the unique travel atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Season 2, which began airing in January 2025, has the theme of "family," starring Hikari Ishida, and depicts the story of intertwining families.
The theme of Season 3 is "marriage." After five years of dating, Shindo Ayaka (Fukagawa) begins to think about marriage with her boyfriend Ono Takashi (Senga), but a certain incident causes her to worry about her future. One day, Ayaka sees a family on TV talking frankly about their feelings over a "weekend trip." Before she knows it, she's already inviting Takashi on a trip... That's the story.
