The key visual for season 3 of the popular NHK BS period drama " Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin 3," starring actress Fuka Koshiba , has recently been released. The drama will consist of eight episodes and will be broadcast on NHK BS and BS Premium 4K every Sunday at 6:45 pm starting from April 5th.
" Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin" is set in the mid-Edo period and depicts the lives of ordinary people who work hard and use their ingenuity to succeed in business, while incorporating a variety of customs. Season 1 aired in 2023, and Season 2 in 2025.
Season 3 will also feature Sachi (Koshiba), the seventh generation owner of Gosuzuya, who opened the Gosuzuya Edo Store, a kimono and fabric store in Tawaramachi, Asakusa, Edo. One windy day, the protagonist Sachi (Koshiba), her sister Yui (Nagasawa Itsuki), and her assistant Kensuke (Sakuma Yu) are on their way to the home of dyer Rikizo (Ikeda Tsutomu) to make a stencil for a new komon pattern when an incident occurs, which marks a major change in the fate of Sachi and Gosuzuya. As the drama of the business struggle to protect Gosuzuya reaches its climax, Sachi also comes to realize an irreplaceable feeling.
It has also been announced that Takahashi Kazuya will play Umematsu, an Ise stencil and kiribori carver, and Isshiki Yohei will play Seiji, an Ise stencil and tsukibori carver who adores his older brother Umematsu.
