Yuta, Hajime (Omori), and Kisuke (Tsuda) believe that the truth behind the case of Matilda, also known as Misa Miyashita (Kiryu Aso), lies in the videotape of the missing Film Research Club member "No. 12." The tape shows a duel scene filmed at "Grandma Kuroe's" house.
However, Kuroe's grandmother's house was destroyed in a fire. By this time, Kuroe's grandmother had also passed away, and Hajime had almost given up hope that the tape "No. 12" would ever exist.
Meanwhile, the three remember a certain person: Kuroe Keiko, the granddaughter of Kuroe's grandmother and a ghost member of the film club.
As the three hoped, "He must still be alive," a narrator said, "The key to the case lies in the fourth Soda Master."
On social media, the show was a hot topic, with comments such as, "The ghost club member's granddaughter is incredibly important," "I recognized the girl next to the old lady, but I never imagined she was a ghost club member," "What was in the 12th video? Was Matilda really murdered? This is getting interesting," "In any case, I'm looking forward to next week even more," and "I'm looking forward to it. But the more the truth is revealed, the closer it feels to the end, and I don't want it to end."
The original story and screenplay for the drama was written by Ryota Furusawa. It is a "youth-recovering human comedy" that depicts the reunion and rebirth of two middle-aged men who were both passionate about making kung fu movies when they were in junior high school in 1988, but now feel like their lives have reached a dead end, thinking "this isn't how it was supposed to be."
