Talent Misato Okada will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on February 26th.
Okada moved to Yamanashi and spent her time caring for her mother. After moving to Yamanashi, she devoted herself to her hobby of sewing, and even went to teach embroidery to help with the reconstruction efforts in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. In addition to introducing her own works, she will also talk about her new challenges, such as beekeeping and community gardens.
Her life had been full of ups and downs until her mother passed away two years ago at the age of 92. Since then, she has been living in Tokyo with her third husband. When she was in junior high school, her father, E.H. Eric, and her mother divorced, and her mother left home and lived far away, so when she first began caring for her, she had many conflicting days. She says that they were able to come to terms with each other and be with her mother until the end. She also reveals how she feels now that she has finished caring for her mother.
