It has recently been revealed that actor and model Otomo Karen will be starring in the drama series "Azato Kawaii Watashi ga Shounen" (Thursdays 9:25pm), which will begin airing on TOKYO MX on April 2nd. She will play the comical and cute protagonist, a confident and cunning, yet somehow lovable "unrivaled popular girl."
The drama is based on the digital manga of the same name by Amito Suzu, which has been downloaded over 11 million times. The story begins when the protagonist, Matsushima Kotone (played by Otomo), who has used her "cute and cunning" style to win in both love and life, meets her strongest rival ever. This is a new type of romantic comedy in which the pride of "cute and cunning" clashes with that of "cute and cunning."
