Singer Fuyumi Sakamoto will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on February 23rd.
She made her debut at the age of 19, and will soon be celebrating her 40th anniversary. She shares the same birthday as Shimakura Chiyoko, and she says she has been very fond of her since her debut. She even read the script with Shimakura during her first performance as the troupe leader, and she even invited her to her home. She wears a kimono given to her by Shimakura, and looks back on her memories in the video.
Next year she will be turning 60. Her birthday, March 30th, is also the wedding anniversary of her close friend, singer Fuji Ayako. Although she has known Fuji for a long time, her clumsy side remains unchanged. She also revealed that Fuji did some "clumsy" things at Akina Nakamori's 60th birthday party last year.
