It has been announced that the animated film "Mahou Tsukai no Yoru," based on a visual novel game by TYPE-MOON, a game brand known for the "Fate" series, will be released in 2026. It will be produced by ufotable, the studio behind "Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel]" and "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba."
The latest video was also released, showing a mix of peaceful everyday life and the extraordinary life of girls who use magic. At the end of the video, it was announced that "more information will be released this spring."
"Mahoutsukai no Yoru" is a game released on April 12, 2012. The scenario was written by Kinoko Nasu, who is also known for "Kara no Kyoukai" and the Fate series, and the graphics were handled by Hirokazu Koyama. The story originated from an unpublished novel written by Nasu before the release of "Tsukihime." Set in the late 1980s, Shizuki Sojuro, a high school student who moves from the countryside to the city, meets Aoko Aozaki, an apprentice magician, and Alice Kuonji, a witch from England, and the three end up living together in an old Western-style mansion.
