The first trailer for the film version of "Sound! Euphonium 3," the third season of the TV anime "Sound! Euphonium," based on the novel by Ayano Takeda, has been released on YouTube. The trailer shows the Kitauji High School Brass Band pushing forward with their goal of winning the gold medal at the national competition.
In the performance scene of the annual marching band event, "Sunrise Festival," drum major Reina Kosaka's brave figure and the entire band marching in unison are depicted. New lines from former captain Yuko Yoshikawa and vice captain Natsuki Nakagawa are also included, and a performance scene from the brass band competition has also been added as a new cut.
It was also announced that the bonus episode "Running Monaka," included on the Blu-ray disc of the first season, will be available for free on YouTube from March 14th to 21st. On June 6th, an event called "Sound! Euphonium's 9th Annual! Uji Festival" will be held at the Uji City Cultural Center (Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture), and it has been revealed that voice actors Tomoyo Kurosawa, Ayaka Asai, Moe Toyoda, Chika Anzai, and Haruka Tomatsu will be appearing on stage.
"Sound! Euphonium" is set in the Kitauji High School brass band and depicts the growth of the brass band members, including euphonium player Kumiko Oumae. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2015, and the second season aired from October to December 2016.
The third and final season, "Sound! Euphonium 3," aired on NHK Educational TV from April to July 2024. It depicts the passionate final moments of Kumiko's high school life as she enters her third year and becomes the captain of the Kitauji High School brass band. Following the previous series, it was directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and produced by Kyoto Animation. The theatrical version, "Sound! Euphonium: The Final Chapter," is directed by Ishihara and directed by Taichi Ogawa. The first part will be released on April 24th.
